About me
Hello! My name is Sian, it’s a Welsh name so it’s pronounced ‘Sharn’.
I am a Queensland based 22 year old, currently studying a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in archaeology and history.
I have always had a passion for the Middle Ages, with knights and tales of dragons attacking villages sparking interest in my young mind. My special interests fall into medieval Europe and the age of the Vikings, with a dabble into the mediterranean and Eurasia.
I enjoy sewing, and am self taught. I bought my first machine in 2019 to make hammocks for my pet rats. Since then I’ve branched out and began sewing clothing, starting simple with costumes for drama class productions and progressing now into historically accurate (or as accurate a broke uni student can get) garments.
I invite you to join me in my journey of historical re-enactment and creations, as I teach you, dear reader, how to create the clothes I do and soon share my review of medieval meals, and the crafts of the Middle Ages.

My Studies
I am currently in my final semester of bachelors degree at UQ. I will be commencing my honours degree in zooarchaeology next year which is very exciting!
I went on my first archaeological dig in Giecz, Poland in 2025 and knew immediately that doing Archaeology is exactly how I want to spend my life.
I hope to share some more about my digs in the future ❤
